Your initial Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC) is valid for 12 months, with renewals extending up to 3 years. The nominated CEO can renew online via the myCASA portal within 3 months before expiry. It costs $480 to renew it for 3 years and will need to be completed before the 12 months since the ReOC was issued otherwise the ReOC will become expired and the whole ReOC process will need to be redone.
Steps for Online Renewal:
- Log into myCASA using your Digital Identity.
- Navigate to ‘Remotely piloted aircraft operator’s certificate (ReOC)’ and select your certificate.
- Follow the prompts for renewal and payment.
Renew your ReOC by email
If you need to renew your ReOC or key staff roles, you must:
- Download the following form.
- Enter your personal details and make sure to save it on to your device.
- Email or post your application.
You cannot renew an expired certificate.
If your certificate expires, you cannot continue to operate until you do the following:
- apply for a new certificate
- pay the related fees for the application
- complete the application assessment.
